He asked me many questions about England, about the queen,
and her bashas, or nobles; and enquired how she could carry on war
against so great a monarch as the king of Spain, for he believed that
all Europe was under his government.
I satisfied him as well as I could

On the 23d I was sent for by the prince, and rode to his court on an
